Schedules
During a typical day, residential students are awoken by the counselors about 6:30 am. Then everyone leaves as a group for breakfast at 7:30 am. Commuters will arrive at 8:00 am and the morning rehearsal or class begins at 8:30 am. The Middle School Academy schedule is the same every day for band, orchestra and choral students. The day is broken down into large ensemble rehearsal, and electives or learning labs. Electives and learning labs may include piano lessons, group voice lessons, music theory and sessions on the Alexander Technique. The middle school students will also have a fun activity during the day. Commuters depart at 5:00 pm, while residents head to dinner. In the evening, residents will have various activities planned, such as bowling at the UMC. After evening recreation, students go back to the dorm for a floor meeting and time to shower, call home, and go to sleep.

The Middle School Academy culminates with a student performance in Grusin Recital Hall. Performance time is 6:00pm for the Middle School Academy the last day of the week. All performances are free and open to the public. All students must participate in the final performance and stay for the entire concert, including band, orchestra and choral performances, as well as the end of the week slide show.
