Instruction
The Summer Music Academy at the University of Colorado Boulder, College of Music, is an exciting opportunity for high school and middle school band, orchestra and jazz musicians from Colorado and around the country to receive world-class instruction in a one-week summer session.
Middle School Music Jr. Academy: June 17-22, 2012
$550 residential (2011 rates) $320 commuter (2011 rates)
High School Music Academy: June 24-29, 2012
$700 residential $470 commuter
$550 residential $320 commuter
Registration Deadline for the High School Academy is May 1.
(Audition Deadline for High School only – April 2)
Registration Deadline for the Middle School and Jazz Academy is May 25.
Non-refundable deposit due May 1st: $150
Full Camp fee is due by June 1st
Lost room key fee (to be collected at the time of loss): $10-50
Lost Meal Card fee (to be collected at the time of loss): $5-15
Property Damage (where applicable): Case-by-case Determination
Commuter fee includes: instruction, camp T-shirt, all lunches
Residential fee includes: instruction, camp T-shirt, room, all meals
Instruction for the Middle School Academy is provided by a renowned guest conductor, area music teachers, and undergraduate music education majors.
Instruction for the High School Academy is provided by a renowned guest conductor, CU faculty members, guest artists, and graduate students in the CU College of Music.
Instruction for the Summer Jazz Camp is provided by a renowned guest artist, CU faculty members and graduate students in the CU College of Music.
Parents will be held financially responsible for any and all damages caused by the student to any University of Colorado property, including College of Music facilities and CU dormitory facilities.
