CU Marching Band
“Shoulder to Shoulder…”
That’s the theme of our Fight Song at CU. It is also the guiding wisdom that Coach Hawkins repeats to the football team. In his words, “Everyone has to play their part!” He knows that it takes more than a good football team to ensure a win on the field.
For over 100 years, the Marching Band has been inspiring CU athletic teams and fans with their music and exciting half-time shows. The band is always there for the team and the fans to cheer the Buffs on to victory.
With over 200 members, the CU “Golden Buffalo” Marching Band is one of the most scholastically diverse student groups with members from every single school and college on the campus. Each member dedicates over 500 hours every year to games, practice and additional performances. This includes the Stampede on Pearl Street, a pep rally held on Friday nights before home games.
Scholarship funds are vitally needed to recruit and retain band members so they can have an even more profound presence at our athletic events. Your contribution helps to support the Marching Band’s dedication to our athletic teams and their love for CU. Donations of any size make a big difference, so please consider how you can support the CU Marching Band.
Thank you for “playing YOUR part” by helping to continue this proud, century-old CU tradition.
