Prospective Graduate Students
GRADUATE STUDIES IN MUSIC EDUCATION
Graduate programs in music education provide ongoing professional education for music teachers and prepare individuals for new careers in elementary/secondary schools or higher education. Degree requirements are structured to emphasize the development of both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Students select a minor area of study in music that further cultivates personal musicianship. The music education faculty draws upon extensive experience as public school teachers, clinicians, conductors, performers, researchers, and professional leaders in providing graduate students with an educational experience that is both rigorous and relevant.
