“Boulder is an awesome place to be studying, both in the context of CU and the city itself. There are opportunities for gigs if you’re good enough and you look for them.”

Housing

Housing

Living in a spectacular mountain-backdrop setting—on or off the University of Colorado campus—is an important part of student life. Subject to space availability, all freshmen are required to live in a residence hall for two academic-year semesters, where a range of services and programs are designed to support the intellectual, social, and personal growth of single student residents. Family housing is also offered for married students. New freshmen and transfer students receive housing application materials from the Department of Housing after they have confirmed their intent to attend the university. Application by May 1 at the latest is advised for all freshmen. Many music majors choose to live in Cheyenne-Arapaho Residence Hall, which is located close to the music building.
