“From our first encounter with the school we knew this was some place special. When we pulled in front of his dorm during his freshman semester volunteers directing traffic were accommodating and friendly, we were even served cold lemonade as it was a hot day!”

On Monday, December 5th, the University of Colorado Horn Choir provided holiday music at the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, CO. The Children’s Hospital is a place of hope, comfort, and even fun for many of the patients, and we felt very privileged to be a part of their holiday season. We believe it is critically important to our mission to create great people as well as great musicians, and this small act of kindness by our students during a very busy time of year is just one example of the excellence promoted both onstage and offstage here at the University of Colorado College of Music.

CU Horn Studio student Isabel Astrid De Boel writes, “playing at the Children’s Hospital is a performance I look forward to every year.  I’m always humbled by how appreciative the staff, parents, and patients are. They make us feel so valued as a musicians and performers, and I feel like we should be the ones thanking them.”
